Your Business Champions
As you access your ability and mindset for starting your own business, make sure that you have a business champion to cheer you on. A business champion is someone who will support you as you develop your business. He or she will always have an encouraging word and will give you constructive criticism that will help you grow your business.
Examples of business champions would be people who you feel comfortable talking to about your dreams or hopes of starting your own business. Keep in mind that not everyone will understand your desire to start your own business and leave the 9 to 5 business world. Just make sure that you will be able to make a commitment to staying on task and on target.
Your business champion can also be someone who mentors you in a specific area, such as finance, marketing or business development. To help you choose a mentor, I’ve include a video below that featured Jack Canfield sharing keys points that you should keep in mind when selecting a mentor.
